Andrew is from Largs, a popular seaside resort in the West coast of Scotland. He works as a chef at the same restaurant I used to work in Glasgow. He is planning to kidnap his 15 months daughter from a trouble-junkie ex-girlfriend with whom he lived in Ireland for a while. He is being threatened though by her new partner who is apparently an IRA terrorist.

Jill is from St. Louis, Missouri, USA. She decided to move to Glasgow 18 years ago after listening to Can's "I want more". She loves gambling, clubbing and roller-coastering. She's got three million-seller music geniuses tattooed on her body. Brian Wilson (back-shoulders), Burt Bacharach (back-shanks) and most recently, Todd Rundgren ("heart"). She wants to become a croupier and travel all over the world in cruises after paying off her debts.

YOSHA AND KARIS

Yosha is a casual worker and used to do some shifts as a chef at the same restaurant I worked in Glasgow. He is a lovely Scottish boy with some Iranian background. He likes high-fiving and partying madly. His main goal is to get out of the UK and transcend something like a cathartic crisis. Before moving to Glasgow, he helped his parents running a Kebab shop near Edinburgh. He splits a mortgage with his sister. I like teasing him.

Karis is a Phsychology undergraduate student in Glasgow. She was born in Stranraer - best known for its ferry port connecting Scotland with Belfast in Northern Ireland - and seems to have found solace in Yosha's arms after breaking up a long-term relationship. She works as a part-time supervisor at the same restaurant I used to work and seems to be taking a lot of more breaks after going back to smoking.
